When I was younger, it seemed like a distant dream of mine to explore and travel to Italy, let alone the Amalfi Coast; so when I first visited the Amalfi Coast in November 2016, it was absolutely surreal! It was so surreal that I had to go back a second time to take in and really appreciate all of the breathtaking sights and views.

Casa Angelina, located in Praiano in between Amalfi and Positano, is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Impressive is an understatement to describe this boutique hotel; in fact, my stay here had really set my standards higher and I find myself using this hotel as a point of comparison for my other travels! If you’ve visited their website and set your hopes on the experience is just like the photos, you will not be disappointed from the moment you first step onto the hotel grounds. Warm, welcoming, and just like paradise. I was greeted right after I stepped out of my car; even before arriving, they get in touch with you regarding your estimated arrival time so they know when to expect you.

Casa Angelina is a boutique hotel with 39 rooms in the main building and an exclusive, secluded suite on a cliff (Eaudesea Experience Room) just steps to the beach. I absolutely loved the airy and light-filled rooms from the lobby to the guest rooms. I could spend a quiet time in the lobby area on the deep, comfy white linen couches that face the water framed by gallery windows — all the right elements to ensure a relaxing stay at Casa Angelina! The hotel is located in Praiano, just ten mins from Positano (which they offer a free shuttle to/from), and 20 mins from the Town of Amalfi. The shuttle to Positano was very convenient because I didn’t have to worry about parking – if you know how the roads and parking there, you’d understand. The hotel is open from April to October.

CHECKING IN

As soon as I arrived, the staff immediately greeted me and helped me with my luggage. It was a warm welcome after the ride from the airport. They even offered refreshments while I was checking in and also gave me a tour of the property in order to really make me feel at home. They have a great concierge handbook and service to book tours or recommend where to eat. They first took me to the top floor to show me the dining area, but what really amazed me was the elevator ride — it had a glass wall that faced the water and cliffs and the sight truly left me at a loss for words!

DINING

Un Piano Nel Cielo – a restaurant with a view! But don’t get me wrong, practically almost every room in this hotel has a sight to see. In the mornings, this is where the Breakfast buffet is served and the breakfast spread is nothing short of amazing…but I may be a little bit biased because I love breakfast in any shape way and form!

Marrakech Bar – this is where you can have lunch, snacks, drinks or all of the above.

THE ROOM

The hotel has 39 rooms in the main building and an exclusive and secluded suite called Eaudesea Experience Room right down the cliff, just steps to the beach. My room was in the main building and as soon as I walked into my room, my jaw hit the floor because I couldn’t believe how much the room surpassed my expectations! I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place to enjoy all that the Amalfi coast has to offer — the room was light and airy with contemporary furniture, soft white linens, and to top it all off, a balcony with a breathtaking view where you can sit back, relax, and reflect on how far you’ve come to make your dreams come true!

dreaming about the next time I go back to this heavenly place, xo

  1. Loved reading your post and seeing your beautiful photos of your stay in Casa Angelina.
It reminded me of my honeymoon, as Casa Angelina was the most memorable hotel that I stayed in during my two weeks in Italy. My husband found out about that hotel because a friend told him about your stay there and recommendation. And, I’m so happy that he booked it for our honeymoon! The view from our room of the coast was spectacular and the amenities and people there were so friendly. They even upgraded us and gave us a even nicer suite for our stay.

So thank you for the recommendation and also for your post as it brought back some cherished memories. I can’t wait to go back.
